General preschool information
All of our offsite preschools offer welcoming, supportive and secure environments for both child and parent/carer. We believe children learn through collaboration and communication with other children and adults as they interact with their environment. Children are given opportunities to create, explore, collaborate, imagine and learn in a rich, stimulating and nurturing play based program that places equal value on both the indoor and outdoor learning environment.
We view children as capable, competent and resourceful learners who are active contributors to their own learning. We strive to empower children, by using their thoughts and ideas to develop the program. We encourage learning and discovery that will foster and enrich each child’s social, emotional, physical, intellectual and creative abilities.
We value each child as a unique individual within the context of his/her own family and community. We value building connections between a child’s home, family and the preschool. Through the program, learning at preschool is visible to all and is promoted in partnership with families and is irrespective of gender, cultural background or disability.
